HARAKADO: contemporary Harajuku at the crossing
45–60 min
Harajuku extends beyond Takeshita Street. Facing Jingumae crossing, HARAKADO catches the eye with its glass exterior, then combines shops, creative spaces and dining. Check the current floor guide, choose one floor that interests you and save a little time for the elevated terrace.
It is a different building from OMOKADO across the junction, so check the name when navigating. Ordinary public areas and the rooftop garden are free to enter; dining, purchases, bathing and some events cost extra.
This makes a useful 45–60-minute indoor alternative in heat or sudden rain. The terrace remains outdoors and may close in poor weather. Later dining hours do not mean every shop stays open equally late.
The rooftop is not an all-weather indoor observation deck. Shops, dining and Kosugiyu Harajuku have separate hours and charges.
