A day in Nippori and Yanaka: fabrics, temple paths and neighbourhood snacks

For Nippori and airport access, compare this east-side hotel. The official route is about five minutes from the east exit, separate from the Yanaka side. Its communal bath uses artificial Komyoseki bathing water, not a natural hot spring; not every room has a bathtub.

Official Singles are 15m² and Moderate Semi Doubles 17m²; most standard types use shower booths. Check luggage space and tubs rather than applying 29m² triple-room photographs to the smallest room. Readable 2026 guests praise breakfast and cleanliness, while an August guest finds the rest fairly ordinary with fewer amenities. Choose practical transport access, not guaranteed luxury.

Consider it for Yanaka/Sendagi access if simple lodging suits you. Despite the Nippori name, its address is 3-43-15 Sendagi in Bunkyo. The official access is about three minutes from Sendagi Exit 2 or seven from Nippori’s north gate; slopes and large bags add time.

Standard Japanese Single, Twin and Triple rooms are listed at 14m² with tatami and futons. Most types share showers and toilets outside the room; certain special types have a private bathroom, so check the exact booking. A 24-hour desk and simple breakfast do not mean luxury facilities.

Guest responses vary: some praise location and staff, while a June 2026 stay reviewed in August reports difficult luggage handling and disappointing shared-bathroom cleanliness. If private facilities, consistent cleanliness or easy luggage access are priorities, compare other hotels first. Breakfast is simple toast, soup, tea and coffee, included only as your plan specifies.
