SCAJ 2026: a specialty coffee afternoon in Ariake
Curious about coffee origins and brewing? Start at Coffee Village and devote an Ariake afternoon to coffee. Members of the public can register to attend.
2026.10.14 — 10.17Look beyond a cup of coffee
SCAJ brings coffee origins, roasters, equipment and coffee professionals into one exhibition. If you enjoy exploring cafes and flavors, pick a few Coffee Village booths, then browse brewing equipment or a competition rather than rushing to visit every stand.
This is primarily a professional trade event, but registered members of the public may also enter. Choose areas that interest you. Admission is not an all-inclusive pass for every product, drink or course.
The halls finish on different days
South Halls 1–2 close on October 16, at 16:00 that day. South Halls 3–4 continue until 17:00 on October 17. Saturday visitors can visit Halls 3–4; the four-day event period does not mean every hall opens on all four days.
The official schedule includes coffee competitions, talks and BREW BAR sessions. Pick a time that appeals to you, but check individual participation terms: some sessions are invitation-only. Exhibition registration does not reserve every program seat.
Fit the exhibition into an Ariake day
The venue gives walks of about three minutes from Yurikamome Tokyo Big Sight Station and seven minutes from Rinkai Line Kokusai-tenjijo Station. Allow extra time to reach the South Halls inside the complex. See the building, spend two or three hours at the exhibition, then use the Ariake guide for a meal or walk.
Treat this exhibition time as a replacement for part of the itinerary. Do not try to add every Ariake stop to the same day. Exhibition halls and public spaces are separate, and tickets for other events are not interchangeable.
Before you go
An invitation does not make admission free for everyone: ordinary visitors without a valid invitation pay the admission fee. Badges are personal and cannot be shared.
Some exhibition displays have steps. Allow extra movement time with a stroller or wheelchair and follow venue routes. Pets are not permitted. Ask each booth about tasting and photography; free samples are not guaranteed at every booth.
